Jett's Day 3: University, Rain and Pizza
We woke up to clouds rolling in. Our targets today were to visit University of Colorado and Totally Pizza (in Ft. Collins).
No waffles today! Peanut butter on bread!
We drove to Boulder. It was sprinkling when we got on the campus of University of Colorado.
Jett got to meet Ralphie at the bookstore. Did you know Ralphie is female?
Lupine
We found a Shake Shack not too far away and had lunch there.
Now it's clear and 65ยบ
The lobby from the 7th floor.
When we were planning this trip, Jett asked if we could go to Ft. Collins to eat at Totally 80's Pizza and Museum. They've become a BIG fan of the 80's!
So of course, we had to go. Here they are in front of the door. Totally excited!
The items in the cafe are totally authentic. The owners spent 10 years gathering all the memorabilia.
Slimer (Ghostbusters) and Teddy Ruxpin.
Han Solo in carbonite ... from Empire Strikes back. They bought a shirt with this on it.
Freddy! (Nightmare on Elm Street)
In front of a Cabbage Patch Doll.
Bought a color changing souvenir cup to give them.
My girls had a ton of these!
From Big with Tom Hanks.
Me with the Prince of Pop.
Actor from Beverly Hills Cop gave them a visit.
Pee Wee's bike from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
Madonna's high school yearbook.
Signed album cover from Weird Al.
Lots of stuff but the Darth Vader case caught my eye because Jeff had one.
Cyndi Lauper and Mel Brooks autographed photos.
Oops .. forgot to rotate! Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure table top.
From Rocky -- signed by Carl Weathers.
He'll be back.
This was our first table sign!
This was our second table sign! (Large Marge from Pee Wee's Big Adventure) We added an order.
And here's what we ordered! A chocolate shake.
The Pee Wee doll caught my eye.
From the Princess Bride (Wallace Shawn). I watch him on Young Sheldon,
Huey Lewis, whom I've seen twice in person. Jett was actually with me during the second, but they were just a baby.
Every once in a while, Oscar popped out and groused about something.
It was such a neat place. We were there about 2 hours. Plus their pizza was really good. (I didn't have any but Paul and Jett did. Both said it was really good (and it smelled good).
Tomorrow we are leaving the high plains and headed for the mountains! Be sure to check it out. Weather won't be great but hopefully we'll see snow and some wild life.
Again, feel free to comment on FB.
